How are funds allocated?

The funds of unissa are managed by its Board. Find more information about the Board here. Unissa uses its funds to finance community as well as project based expenses. Community based expenses are for example: pizza for pizza night, domain costs, unissa stickers, posters for semester start events and the like.

Some projects like the Sustainability Week Basel are self-financing, mainly through funds from sponsors. The sponsors of the Sustainability Week are displayed on the flyer.

The unissa Board can approve a budget of up to CHF 1000.- per project. Projects which fulfill the criteria outlined in the document “Guidelines for Project Funding” and have filled out the document “Project Application” are considered by the Board for funding. If unissa's budget allows for it and the applicants can satisfactorily demonstrate why more funds are needed for their project, the Board can exceptionally approve a higher budget. The same applies for long-lasting projects which are in need of further funds to continue their work.

If you have any questions regarding unissa's finances, do not hesitate to contact us via mail: unissa@unibas.ch.
